Ingredients:
1/4 cup (1/2 stick or more) butter, melted
1/4 cup sugar (or more)
2 tart apples (I prefer Fuji)
3 or 4 Plums
2 or 3 Peaches
1/2 cup (or more) Lindisfarne Mede
Preparation:
Heat the Grill. Peel and core the apples and remove the stones from the plums and peaches; then cut all the fruit into 1 to 1 1/2 inch chunks (not wedges).
Combine melted butter, sugar and Lindisfarne Mede in a bowl and mix well.
Thread the fruit onto skewers and then brush very liberally with the mead/sugar/butter mixture.
Once the grill is hot, turn off the center burner and turn the other burners to medium. Place the skewered fruit over the center burner, close the lid and cook for 6 to 10 minutes, turning several times.
Serve warm off the grill with a glass of Lindisfarne Mede and stand back to wait for the compliments (There will be many).
